Motivation & Inspiration

Whether you need personal, professional, or organizational motivation and inspiration I’m the man for the job. I live my life with a half-full cup ready to be filled with Positivity. It don’t matter where you came from or where you are at, if you want to be a success then you need to decide where you want to be and then live every single moment of the day striving, learning and being disciplined enough to go threw whatever it takes to get there.

Stop wishing, hoping, dreaming and fantasizing about what you want and start doing the things necessary to make these things come into reality. This world is full of unlimited opportunity and as you listen to me speak, I will be telling you with all the passion I can convey with words how to get rid of any self-limiting beliefs, overcome any obstacles and aggressively pursue a fulfilled life.

As I speak, I aim to leave my audience with a  lasting impression; one that lasts days, weeks, months and years longer then after I leave the stage. By fostering self-motivation and empowerment, my plan is to leave an incredible mark on all levels of a school or company’s culture. This serves to align individuals with their goals, student and employees with a vision, or a community with a cause.

"I can't think of many people who motivates and inspire people the way Darrel does. He has a unique way of captivating his audience in such a positive and uplifting way. I love the way he delivers his messages with passion and belief. I have personally seen him speak to a room full of prisoners and change their anti-social attitudes around to one that left the room full of positive questions, aspiration, desire and motivation to do better in life."

Better Decision Making

Your life is one decision away from failure or success! One decision could determine whether you win or lose, stay or go, say the right or wrong thing, win or lose, fail or succeed.

With that being said, one decision can totally change your life for better or worse. To keep you on the right track of good decision making I have come up with some key questions to ask yourself before making decisions. These questions will help you improve your decisions.

  1. Is it Legal?
  2. Is it the Right thing to do?
  3. Is it the Best thing to do?
  4. Could it cause me problems now or later?
  5. Do I have to lie about it?
  6. Is there anything else I can do?
  7. Have I talked to someone respectable about it?

Change for the Better

Of all things that are inevitable, change is one of them but yet so many people are resistant to change, fight change, hate change and aren’t willing to except change.

When you are seeking success, change is one of the most important things you should embrace. If you aren’t willing to change that means you are excepting things the way they are. It also means that growth, success and a fulfilled life will not manifest their way into your life.

If you want to live a happy and fulfilled life you have to not only be willing to change but embrace change and all the difficulties that come along with it. Steps to take in order to change are as follow:

  • You have to decide in your mind that you are ready to embrace change
  • You have to research and learn how to change
  • You have to truly believe you can change
  • You have to implement change into your daily habits
  • You have to regularly evaluate your progress
  • You have to have the discipline, desire, determination, grit and perseverance to keep going no matter what
  • You can never stop, quite or give up until you have become the person you want to be

Goal Setting and Achieving

People all over the globe set goals and very few of them achieve those goals. I have developed a fools proof way of not only setting goals, but achieving them. I call it my GPS system (goal positioning system). During my coaching, mentoring or consulting I have never had any of my clients come to me saying that my GPS system didn’t work. If it will work for me and them, then it will also work for you.

  • Set a goal
  • Research your goal
  • Write down all the things necessary to achieve your goal
  • Do something daily toward reaching your goal

If you follow my gps system it’s basically impossible NOT to achieve your goal.

Stop Wasting Time

Stop wasting time. Stop waiting to have time, stop waiting for the best time, or the right time or the perfect time. The time to start is right now, where you are and with what you have.

Time is important, valuable, and priceless. Time waits for no one, you cannot buy more time so once it’s gone you can’t get it back. Once you decide that something is important enough to do, then don’t wait to get it done. If you want to lose weight then don’t wait til next week or after the Holidays or until New Years and make a resolution to do so.

After you decide that something is important enough to do then immediately start an action plan on how to get it done. No procrastinating, no waiting, no stalling just get going after it like your life depends on it because most times, it does.

If you truly want to be successful and live a more fulfilling life then you have to spend the 24 hours in your day in a productive way. At the end of each and every day before you lay down to bed you should be asking yourself “was I productive today?” If the answer is yes then get a good nights rest, if the answer was no then wake up early the next day ready to aggressively go after the things you want in life.

Mr. Stinson was able to translate life lessons and tough abstract concepts that are often difficult for students to understand in an easy to grasp way. His approach invited the students to engage in a true dialogue about how to develop and better manage their lives as a young adult. Darrel presented my student body with key notes that were motivating, educational and relevant for the audience in attendance. I look forward to the opportunity of having him come back and speak again.
